She was predeceased by: her parents, Milo E. Shaffer and Alda E. Shaffer (McPeek); her husband Clarence "Clem" Parsons; and her siblings, Robert, Earl, George Shaffer, Barbara Etgan and Phyllis Shover.

She is survived by: her daughters, Cindi Truitt of Marion, Tina Davis of Marion and Lisa Gear of Texas; her siblings, Mary Morrow and William "Bill" Shaffer; her grandchildren, Natalie O'Donnell, Erin Dimond, Chelsea Gregory, Michael Davis and Megan Davis; and her great grandchildren, Landon, Maddie, Addyson and Jaxson.
