He is survived by: his significant other Mary Ellen Hurd; his children, Charles Edwin Spencer (Karen), Pamela Kay Spencer and Susan Linette Spencer-Conley (Bobby); and his grandchildren, Charity Rivers (Scott), Shawn Spencer (Amanda), Kristin Murray (Matt), Dustin and Jakob Conley (Shelby). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
