It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Schiefer in Marion, Ohio, born in Bucyrus, Ohio, who passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Schiefer and Ellie Schiefer (Spiegel); his father-in-law Donald Palm; and his brother-in-law Roy Palm. He is survived by: his wife Vanessa Schiefer; his children, Andy Schiefer (Kristin) and Marcy Maglott (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Preston, Olivia Schiefer, Karson, Kaiden and Brycen Maglott; his brother Tom Schiefer (Julie); his mother-in-law Charlotte Palm; and his sister-in-law Joann Palm. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
John wishes to see toys including fire trucks, tractors, and stuffed animals brought to his services to fill the church in lieu of flowers. They will be donated to children's hospitals and the BFD toy drive to continue his service towards the community.
