With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Johnston of Marion, Ohio, born in Rio Grande, Ohio, who passed away on October 17, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norwood Utter Johnston and Lois Evans Johnston; and his siblings, Norwood "Nor", John William "Bill", Daniel "Dan", Robert "Bob", Richard "Dick", Steve and Harriet Lenhart.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Ruth, Vickie and Barbara "Barb" Johnston; his caregivers, Tiffany Foreman and Misty Butler; and his close friends, Mike and Shelli Micheli. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Boyd Funeral Home (122 W Columbia St, Marion, OH 43302). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
