Justin Michael Gray Obituary
Justin Michael Gray, age 42, of Marion OH died unexpectedly at Marion General Hospital on January 23, 2019. Justin was born in Dennison OH on June 18, 1976 to the late Alwood "Butch" P. Gray and Mary Ann Pica (Ruscin). He was a graduate of Mountain View High School of Marana AZ. While in Arizona, he met the love of his life Alisha-Marie Widmer and on September 5, 1997 they were married in Tucson.
The most important thing in Justin's life was his family. He lived everyday of his life working to be the best father, husband, son, brother and role model that he knew how to be. Not only was he an incredible father but he was known to many kids that he had an opportunity to help as a "Super-Dad". He had a huge impact on the younger generation, extending his love not only to his children, but to many children and teenagers who lacked that of a father figure.
This also led him to his most recent vocation as a Corrections Officer for the Marion Co Juvenile Detention Center for the past three years. While working at JDC, the impact he had on the kids that came through their care was immeasurable. He left an imprint that will live on through the lives he touched. Justin was preceded in death by his dad Butch.
He will be sorely missed by his wife Alisha-Marie Gray, his son Nicholaus Anthony Gray of Marion, his daughters Malaya Renee and Halayna Marie Gray both of Marion, his brother Troy Allen Gray of Tucson AZ; his sister Anita Lynn Gray of Marion; his nieces and nephews Amparo, George, and Brianna Gray; his mother Mary Ann Pica (Ruscin), his mother-in-law Dee M. Macneil, his father-in-law Fred G. Widmer and his mother-in-law Glenda F. Widmer.
Per Justin's wishes he will be cremated with a memorial service to celebrate his life on Wednesday January 30, 2019 from 11 AM to 1 PM to receive friends and family at Boyd-Born Funeral Home, 122 W. Columbia St. in Marion, with the service immediately following at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to aid in the cost of services with checks written to the order of: Nicholaus A. Gray.
