He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold John Richards and Virginia Ann Richards (Cicero); his grandson Dakotah Barnett; his siblings, Patricia Corbin and Ted Richards; and his brother-in-law Mike Luster.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Richards of Marion; his children, Shelly Dason (Ken) of Marion, David Richards of Marion and Dottie Kerr (Ian) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Courtney Barnett (Mike), Caitlin Thompson (Joe), Chase Richards Seipel, Andy Hastings and Emily Steele; his great grandchildren, Maddie Hoover (Colton), Alexis Davis (Jevin), Jordyn, Neveah, Isiah, Makenah Barnett, Gracyn, Warren and Owen Thompson; his great great grandchildren, Easton Lowry and Ellie Kay Hoover; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Richards, Sue Schwamberger (Glenn) and Florence Johnson (Pat). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder Hall Chapel (347 W Center St, Marion, OH 43302). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Church (251 N Main St, Marion, OH 43302).
