He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Verne and Helen Van Tyne Lucas (Gillis); his wife Janet Lucas (Gifford); and his siblings, Allen D. Lucas, William Richard Lucas, Glenn Lucas, John Lucas, Delmar Lucas and Eleanor Hinamon.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie Johnson (Rex) of Marion, Mark Lucas (Chris) of Columbus, Jenny Perry (Steve) of Tennessee, Jane Ramey (Rob) of Prospect and Lois Payne (Perry) of Michigan; his sister Marjorie Porter (Richard); and his sister-in-law Linda Lucas. He is also survived by grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Prospect Street United Methodist Church (185 S Prospect St, Marion, OH 43302). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Prospect Street United Methodist Church or the Marion Senior Center, two organizations that held special meaning in Bob's life.
