He was predeceased by: his siblings, Larella Hoffman, Helen Hoffman, Bernice Hart, Betty Vermillion, Paul, Kenneth, Lloyd and Merle "Herb" Hoffman.

He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Heinlen; and his children, Michael Hoffman (Carley) of Marengo and Jill Crosby (Dean) of Edison. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
