He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Sexton Sr. and Hazel Edith "Adkins" Simmones; and his siblings, Jim Sexton and Anita Arthur. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Sexton; his children, William James Sexton, Jason Michael Sexton (Becky) and Sarah Sexton; his sister Marti Sexton; and his grandchildren, Carson, John, Abigail, Aaron and Jericho. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
