With solemn reverence, we commemorate Ervin L. Hastedt of Mark Center, Ohio, whose life came to an end on July 2, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Ervin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ervin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hastedt and Mathilda Hastedt (Helmke); his sister Elvera; and his brother-in-law George Haase. He is survived by: his wife Veronica Hastedt of Mark Center, OH; and his children, Mary Beth Hastedt (Julian Franke IV) of Fishers, IN, Cheri Stevenot (Bob) of Cincinnati, OH, Vicki Daley (Frank) of Findlay, OH and Greg Hastedt (Kathy) of Bryan, OH.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lawson-Roessner Chapel (1753 S Clinton St, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Farmer Fire Department, Heartland Hospice, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
