He was predeceased by : his parents, Reuben Hartzler and Velma Hartzler (Winkler); his former life partner Joyce Hartzler (Stoller); his brother Marvin Hartzler; and his son-in-law Fred Domka.

He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Knobloch of Marshallville; his children, Connie Domka of Mansfield, Karen Laparo (Ron) of Blacklick, OH, Larry Hartzler (LuAnn) of Creston, Wayne Hartzler (Camille) of Creston and Amy Dotterer (Steve) of Wooster; and his siblings, Eleanor Pamer (Eugene) of Rittman, Donna Mogler (Phil) of Rock Rapids, IA, Lucille Blough of Wadsworth, Vince Hartzler (Jane) of Rittman and Merle Hartzler (Bonnie) of Wadsworth. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren.

Visitors are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and adhere to the posted signs and spacing limitations.
