He was predeceased by : his father Alvin Winkler; his wife Dora Younker; his siblings, Ellis, Glenn, Ben Winkler and Janet Indermuhle; and his siblings-in-law, Darrel Indermuhle, Bill Rhoads and Mary Jane Winkler of Rittman.

He is survived by : his daughter Pamela Kendall (Dennis) of Marshallville; his granddaughters, Ashley Azbell (Dakota) of Blacklick, OH and Jenna Kendall (Ben Daisley) of Olmstead Township; his siblings, Ken Winkler (Flora Jane) of Sterling, Andy Winkler of Rittman, Stanley Winkler (Margaret) of Rittman, Marge Rhoads of Wooster, Elizabeth Landis (Vernon) of Rittman, Marilyn Uhler (Dale) of Creston and Brenda Bauman (Vic) of Sterling; and his sister-in-law Sandy Winkler of Wooster. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
