He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Wetzel and Mary Regina Wetzel (Fitzsimmons); his wife Betty Ann Wetzel (Romish); his brother Joe Wetzel; his sister-in-law Susan Wetzel; and his nephews, Michael, David and Dan Wetzel.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Edwards (Jimmy) of Martins Ferry; his grandchildren, James (Hunter Gust), Megan (Casey Byrum) and Jordan Edwards; his sister-in-law Joann Wetzel; and his brothers, Paul Wetzel (Janine), Tom Wetzel and Marty Wetzel (Carol).
