Marcia Runkel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2026, at the age of 84, Marcia Runkel of Martins Ferry, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Fornari and Mary Fornari (Gryskevich); her husband James Runkel; and her siblings, Donna McConnell and Dr. Gabriel Fornari.
She is survived by: her children, Kristin Wilson (Jay) and Joseph Runkel (Kimberly); her grandchildren, Josh, Gregory, Nicholas Wilson and Emma Runkel; her sister JoEllen Rappold (Walt); and her sister-in-law Diane Fornari.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (920 National Rd, Bridgeport, OH 43912). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (72581 Colerain Rd, Bridgeport, OH 43912).
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Mary Central Grade School, 24 N. Fourth St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
