He is survived by: his children, Ellen Cogar (Aaron) of Paden City, WV, Tina Franics of Sardis, OH, Anna "Peggy" Francis of Ashtabula, OH and Joseph Shreve of Williamsfield, OH; and his grandchildren, Stephen Johnson, Alex Cogar, Vanessa Cogar, Nick Cogar, Elizabeth Adams, Andrew Adams, Amelia Gross, Veda Gross, Edwin Gross, Jayden Shreve, Rayleigh Shreve, Issac Podlasiak and Malachi Shreve. He is also survived by several other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes (1224 S Bridge St, New Martinsville, WV 26155). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home - New Martinsville (1224 S Bridge St, New Martinsville, WV 26155).
