She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henderson and Hazel Henderson; her husband John "Jay" Truitt; and her grandson Gregory Thomas Bean. She is survived by: her children, Gayle Truitt-Bean of Clarion, Pennsylvania and Tom Truitt (Susan) of Marysville; her grandchildren, Carly Murray (Chris) of Marysville, Kevin Truitt (Alex) of Marysville and Erin Bean (Evan Halteman) of Thousand Oaks, California; and her brother Jack Henderson (Betty) of Spring Lake, Michigan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
