It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cameron Lee Smoot of Mason, Ohio, born in Fairfield, Ohio, who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 24, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfather French Smoot; his great-grandparent Don Schnurr; and his uncle Greg Plavsic. He is survived by: his parents, Alison Smoot and Kevin Plavsic; his sisters, Jade Lucas, Ashley Riga (Nick), Madison Plavsic and Isabella Plavsic; his aunts, Sue Litman-Hall (Chris), Angela Pfaffinger (Jim) and Linda Fite; his siblings' children, Liliana Schwallie, Marley Riga, Thea Riga, Landen, Layton McAdams and George Carter, Jr.; his cousins, Jackson Litman, Brayden Hall, Ethan Pfaffinger, Heather West and Kelsey Guenther; and his grandmothers, Brenda Smoot and Darlene Plavsic. He is also survived by many other family members and close friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Avance Funeral Home (4976 Winton Rd, Fairfield, OH 45014). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark's United Methodist Church (4601 Fairfield Ave, Fairfield, OH 45014). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (11000 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249).
Honoring his generous wish, the gift of life was shared with many people in need through organ and tissue donation.
