She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles DeWalt and Emma DeWalt; her husband Paul S Carey; and her nephew Dom Bruce DeWalt. She is survived by: her children, Leslie Ann Carey, Stephen Carey and Philip Brian Carey; her daughter-in-law Yoko Moriyama; her grandsons, James Nichols and John Carey; and her granddaughters-in-law, Jennifer and Julia. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, family asks that you consider donating to Smile Train, one of the many charities Dorothy supported for many years.
