It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John McKibben of Mason, Ohio, who passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Evelyn McKibben; his son J. D. McKibben (Jennifer Misiak); his stepchildren, Tim Ashley, Todd Ashley, Tom Ashley (Lori) and Tracy Ashley; his sibling Glenn McKibben; and his former spouse Shirley McKibben.
Dale's contributions to the world of sports were recognized when he was inducted into the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame, honoring his achievements both as an athlete and a coach.
