He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Hammell Sr. and Marion Hammell (Schnelle); and his brother Chester Hammell Jr.. He is survived by: his brothers, Daniel E. Hammell of Lynchburg and Geoffrey J. Hammell of Lynchburg.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Turner & Son Funeral Home (602 N High St, Hillsboro, OH 45133). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM at the Barker Cemetery (2084 OH-131, Lynchburg, OH 45142).
