She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett G. Ertle and Ethel Mae Ertle (Shanklin). She is survived by: her husband Gary L. Smith; her children, Keith Smith (Dana) of Coshocton, Amy Schiaffino (Alan) of Arlington, Virginia and Juli Roberts (Chuck) of Jackson Township; her grandchildren, Kelsey Cox, Aaron Smith, Shelby Roberts, Nathan Smith, Alexander Schiaffino, Sydney, Charles Roberts, Jack, Elizabeth Schiaffino and Ian Roberts; and her brother Ronald "Ronnie" Ertle (Jane) of Massillon. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
The family has suggested memorial contributions made to either The American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
