She was predeceased by: her parents, John Falbo and Mary Falbo (DeMarco); her siblings, Jim, Rose, Joe and Jean; her former husband Rudolf Ligtvoet; her son Jeffrey Ligtvoet; and her grandson Jonathan Ross.

She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Rootes; her children, Jean Ligtvoet, Karen Ligtvoet and Rudolf Ligtvoet; her brother John Falbo; her grandchildren, Christin, Keiti and Jenna; her great grandchildren, Ariel, Merida, Quinn, Eddie, Livi and Rye; and her stepchildren, Rick, David, Anita and John.
