He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sweetnich and Barbara Priester Sweetnich; his siblings, Joseph "Jake", Stephen, Matthew Sweetnich, Mary Jubera, Helen Strol and Barbara O'Dak; and his parents-in-law, Viola and Charles Sims.
He is survived by: his wife Joan L. Sims Sweetnich; his children, Michelle Brannigan (Mike) and Michael Sweetnich (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Jason, Megan Brannigan and Jake Sweetnich. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
