He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Shafer and Ruth Shafer (Spencer); and his brother Larry Shafer. He is survived by: his sister Linda Shafer of Massillon.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christ United Church of Christ (301 N Main St, Orrville, OH 44667). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
