He was predeceased by: his father Roma M. Adkins; his wife Betty McGuire; his grandson Robert Earl Adkins; his sister Nayden Setliff; and his half-brother Brady Dickerson.
He is survived by: his children, James Adkins (Susan) of Orrville, OH, Martin Lee Adkins (Nancy) of West Salem, Anna Faye Peters (Bob) of Canal Fulton, Isalene Adkins of Massillon and Delta Mae Epley (Michael) of Massillon; and his niece Dania Stangelo. He is also survived by six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews.
