It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther E. Wenzel of Massillon, Ohio, who passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Esther E. Wenzel to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Carter and Marie Carter (Cushing); her husband Richard; her son-in-law Dan Morris; her siblings, Charles Carter (Dee), Paul Carter (Evelyn), Joanne, Jeanne McAfee (Glenn), Julia Yoder (W. Arlen) and Mary Jane Bach (Herman); and her in-laws, Clarence, Arline Wenzel (Krisher), Winnie Wenzel, Jean Dort (Frank), William Wenzel (Gladys), James Wenzel (Kate), Patricia Chalfant (Thomas) and Robert Wenzel.
She is survived by: her children, Lois Wenzel of Chesterland, OH, Jean Morris of Massillon, Robert Wenzel of Massillon, Mary Joan Wenzel of Dover, OH, James Wenzel (Lori) of Macomb Twp and David Wenzel (Helaine) of Massillon; her grandchildren, Guy Esposito (Stephanie), Frank Talafous, Christin Talafous, Catie Staruch (Tyler), Charles Wenzel (Kiersten), Samuel Wenzel, Madalyn Wenzel, Davin Wenzel and Mallorie Wenzel; her great grandchildren, Marissa Blosfield, Nathan Talafous, Kyle Maguire, Matthew Talafous, Carlee Talafous, Ella Talafous and Makenna Esposito; her great great grandchild Aurora Esposito; and her pet Freddy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel (639 1st St NE, Massillon, OH 44646). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (206 Cherry Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646).
