He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Malinda; his children, Joy E. Brown (Shane) and Nolan M. Oakes (Makala); his siblings, Garry, Larry, Yvonne (Daniel) and Lynette (Kevin); his daughter Esther; his parents, Galen Sr. and Beulah; Ward and June Steward.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Amherst Community Church (8650 Beatty St NW, Massillon, OH 44646). A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens (3655 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646).
