He is survived by: his parents, Georgia Wells and Joseph "Red" Wells; his stepmother Catherine Wells; his brother Richard Lee Minesinger; his son Gary Lee Wells Jr.; his wife Leslie Wells (Watson); his children, Michelle Webb, Mark Wells (Anna) and Damien Mays (Deja); his grandchildren, Tyler (Devon), Taylor, Hunter (Izzy), Jordan, Logan, Ashlynn, Evah and Jevon; his great grandchild Zay'Mere; and his siblings, Joseph George Wells and Kathy Jo Wells.
