He was predeceased by: his father John Hawksworth; his wife Virginia Faye Hawksworth; his stepdaughters, Dale Tipton and Lola Frechette; and his grandsons, Thomas Finley, Darrin Hodgson and Ryan Hardy.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, William Hardy (Kay) and Mary Cranor (Roger); and his cousin Joseph Krupka (Mary Lou).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jim's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 3805.
