He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy J. Kreiger and Myrtle Kreiger (Kipfer); his wife Phyllis Kreiger; his siblings, Beverly Farrenkopf and Jerry Kreiger; and his son-in-law Craig Weiss.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Bendure (Paul), Karl "Jay" Kreiger (Melissa), Karen Weiss and Kelly Girts (Kenneth). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
