She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Rudersmith and Bertha Rudersmith (Hicks); her husband Dean O. Mills; her former husband Jerry Abel; and her son David B. Mills.

She is survived by: her children, Bob Mills (Gale), Jeff Mills (Jan), Ron Mills, Lori Mizer (Ron) and Cathy Altman (Mills); her grandchildren, Deanna Billman (Mark), Craig Mills (Kristy), Landon Mills, Matthew Mizer and Michael Mizer (Jessica); and her great grandchildren, Megan Billman, Brandon Billman and Averie Mills.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to Aultman Hospice at Woodlawn for their tremendous care.
