She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Chaboude and Evelyn Chaboude (Sullivan); her husband Don Smith; her grandson Joshua Simons; and her siblings, Rachel and Tim.

She is survived by: her children, Dawn Smith, DiAnna Seward and Donald "Buddy" Smith, Jr. (Beverly); and her grandchildren, Jana Smith, Denaye Hagi (Joseph), Jeffrey Seward (Erin), Kara Swearingen (Jimmy), Kylynne Reedy (Adam) and Jessica Parker (Kelly). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663 .
