He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Longshore and Lillie Longshore (Potter); and his brothers, Tommy, Amos, Luke and Jimmy Longshore.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Longshore (Hankison); his children, Yvonne Longshore, Tia Longshore-Hawn, Tyra Wheeler, Anthony Hankison and Chris Wagoner (Jessica); and his siblings, Jeff Longshore, Bobby Longshore, Ruby Longshore and Bonnie Longshore. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

“My x husband played softball with Johnny. My sister Bobbi was Bob Berens secretary at State Farm and Johnny always came in and paid his insurance. My girlfriend Laurie Fankhauser is married to Jeff. My X worked with Jeff at Food 4 Less. My X , Jack worked at Mcclains cash and carry and we always saw Johnny and Jeff there. My heartfelt sympathy goes to.Johnny's family, what a tragedy. He is such a part of Massillon's history. This town wont be the same. God Bless all of you and God Bless Johnny in Heaven.”
