He was predeceased by: his father Nathan Laster. He is survived by: his children, Nathaniel T. Laster (Erica Miller), Shevawn Smith (Michael) and Nicole Dawson (Orlando); his nephew CJ Harris, Jr. (Lisa); and his former wife Anne Laster. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
