She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hess and Edna Hess (Maurer); and her former husband George "Bud" Knupp. She is survived by: her husband Raymond L. Halter; her children, George Knupp (Vicky), Bruce Knupp (Jennifer), Robert "Bob" Halter (Barb), John Halter, Christopher Halter (Kelley), Richard "Rick" Halter (Robin), Michael "Mike" Halter (Cathy), Suzanne Cartrett, Nancy Maurer, Lori Monter (Jeff) and Vicki Adams; and her siblings, George Hess (Barb) and Doris Dotts. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel (5850 Wales Ave NW, Massillon, OH 44646). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Divine Mercy Parish - St. Barbara (2813 Lincoln Way W, Massillon, OH 44647).
