He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Renier and Dorothy Renier (Violand); and his siblings, John, Kenneth Renier and Mary Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Renier (Mossgrove); his son Geoffrey; his daughter-in-law Nicole Renier; his daughters, Elizabeth (David Hersher) and Monica (Joshua Erichsen); his sister Janet; and his brother-in-law Dennis Haidet. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
