He was predeceased by: his parents, George May and Verda May (Long); his daughter Cathy May; and his brother Glen May. He is survived by: his children, Jerry May (LaVerne), Robin Hoskinson (Todd) and Lisa Vogt (Dave). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
