She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hamrick and Margaret Hamrick (Brown); her husband Charles D. Cowan; her son-in-law Michael A. Schoenberger; and her sisters, E. Louise Saunders and Phyllis M. Padgett.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Cowan, Jack Cowan (Dorothy) and Penny Schoenberger. She is also survived by three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and numerous cousins.
