The passing of Vernon A. Smith of Massillon, Ohio, born in Struthers, Ohio leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 23, 2024 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur W. Smith and Myrtle E. Smith (Benson); and his wife Joanne "Jody" Smith. He is survived by : his daughters, Kim Kuhns (Mike) and Lori Case (Larry); and his grandchildren, Corey Kuhns (Marla), Katie Clark (Sean), Beth Barney (Steve), Kyle Welch, Matt Welch (Tara) and Trisha Barnett. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home (1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
