He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sankovich, and Anna Sankovich, Sr. (Andrusko); his wife Norma Jean Sankovich (Simone); and his siblings, George, Nick, Sam, Michael, Jerry Sankovich, Amelia Mulligan and Dorothy Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Alkire (Terry) and Michael Sankovich (Gretchen); his grandchildren, Theresa Alkire and Joshua A. Sankovich; his stepgrandsons, Brandon and Derek Burkholder; his sister Mary Kutz (Jack); and his sister-in-law Joann Sankovich. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
