He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Longwell and Florence Newlon Longwell; his son Scott Longwell; his stepson Christopher Weitershausen; his grandson Kevin Weitershausen; his brother Ronald Longwell; and his sister-in-law Gail Longwell.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Garvey Longwell; his children, Kimberly Custer of Masury and Shawn Longwell (Carrie) of Kinsman; his stepson Raymond Weitershausen of Masury; his grandchildren, Michelle (David), Christopher, Tiffany, Téa and Sherrie; his great grandchildren, Emily, Benjamin, Lydia, Chelsey, Angel and Crystal; his brother Jim Longwell; and his sister-in-law Evelyn "Kay" Longwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the church or to the mission's committee of the church in William's name.
