She was predeceased by: her son Phillip Russell. She is survived by: her husband Michael; her children, Jeannette Gordon (Gary) and Erik Russell (Catherine); her grandchildren, Bryan, Anna and Nathaniel; and her sister Suzanne Van Horn.

The family suggests memorials to the Toledo Zoo.
