He is survived by: his parents, Joan Kimmel and Donald Kimmel; his sister Elizabeth Kimmel; his aunts and uncles, Gerald (Sue Kimmel), Tony (Marilyn Broglio), Lawrence (Yoli Broglio), John Broglio (Judi Lak), Mary Kaye Kimmel–Alexander (John Alexander) and Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio (Merrill Kimmel); his close friends, Maria Mandel and Craig Wilson; his pet Smaug; and also Jace Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of John to Hospice of the Western Reserve (17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110) and the Cleveland Animal Protective League (1729 Willey Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44113).
