He was predeceased by: his parents, George Karger and Bernice Karger; his wife Carol; his siblings, George (Rose), Allen (Cindy) and Thomas; and his nephew Christopher.
He is survived by: his daughter Laura Leuty (James); his grandchildren, Andrew Leuty and Amanda Newton (Zach); his sister-in-law Dorothy Papes; and his nieces and nephews, Gregory, Phillip (Sarah) and Meredith Davis (Anthony).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Friday March 20th at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
