He is survived by: his children, Teresa Remy-Detty (Jack), Kenneth "Bub" Remy (Chris) and John E. Remy; his grandchildren, Chelsey Remy (Brandon Bennett), Johnathon McManis (Tiffany), Eryn Gilson (Riley) of Kenneth, Johnna Claytor (Chris), Tess Simmering (Joseph), Heath Ousley and Brent Ousley (Maria); and his great grandchildren, Jax, Kinnison McManis, Hudson, Ila, Renley Claytor of Kenneth, Remy IV, Emmalyn Howell, Owen, Elizabeth, Lincoln Gilson, Aric, Charle Ousley and Simmering. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
