He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy Hicks and Ida Hicks (Hicks); his wife Sarah Ellen Keen; his son Ellis Lee Hicks; and his siblings, Roxie Keen, Infant Cora Hicks, Nora Ramey, Delcia Cox, Shirley Wells and Rush Hicks.
He is survived by: his son Elmer L. Hicks of Ada; his daughter-in-law Paula Steinke (Gary) of Wapakoneta; his grandchildren, Scott Ellis Hicks (Melanie) and Jessica Sue Gossard (Steven); his great grandchildren, Bradley Hicks, Caleb Hicks, Hope Jenkins (Zach), Faith Hamrick (Jaret), Joy Gossard (Caleb Reser) and Jacob Hicks; and his great great grandchildren, Lily, Everleigh, Izzy and Addyson.
