He was predeceased by : his parents, Lattie Eugene and Corrine Tomblin (McNeely); his siblings, Rodney Tomblin and Joan Tomblin; his parents-in-law, Winford and Myrtle Dalton (Meeks); and his grandparents, Siebert McNeely (Thelma Frye), Roy Tomblin (Sarah Manns), Sherman and Nettie Meeks (Williamson).
He is survived by : his wife Nettie Tomblin (Walls); his son Phillip Darrell Tomblin II; and his brothers, Danny Tomblin (Kay), Neil Tomblin, Randall Tomblin and Gary Tomblin (Debra).
