He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Payne and Juanita Payne; and his brothers, Paul, Allen and Jackie.
He is survived by: his wife Leah; his children, Carolyn Payne, Melinda Payne, Carl Payne, Jr., William Payne (Carrie) and Marrissa Deeter; and his grandchildren, Savannah, Austin, Kayla, Cole, Hailie, Rease, Trentin, Stella, Danny, Leah and Caitlyn.
