He was predeceased by: his wife Sandy; his parents, Robert Caperton and Elvetta Caperton; and his siblings, Lois, Dorothy, Shirley and Homer.
He is survived by: his children, Robert (Kyle), David, Douglas and Shannon; his grandchildren, Duncan Harney and Riley Harney; his great grandchild Mikey Harney; and his brother Charles Caperton of Burgaw, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The military honors will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:15 AM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 12:30 PM at 125 N Elmwood Ave, Medina, OH 44256.
