It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dessie Riley of Medina, Ohio, who passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dessie Riley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Boyd and Sarah Gladys Smith (Mobley); her husband Ora; her daughter Dixie Baran; and her siblings, Bernard Smith, Bill Smith, Vernetta "Net" Carpenter and Mary Ammons.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie White, Patsy Chesbro (Russell), Jerry Riley (Phoebe), Bobbie Chesbro (Frank), Thomas Riley (Joanne) and Rodger Riley (Nellie); and her son-in-law Greg Baran. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; also, many nieces, nephews.
In keeping with Dessie's giving spirit, in lieu of flowers and keepsakes, her family asks that memorial contributions be made to Beallsville First Christian Church, PO Box C, Beallsville, Ohio 43716.
